Finding a grave

Location profile

History and distinctive features

Untermenzing Cemetery was established with the village church of St Martin in 1499 and now forms the old part of the paired grounds. Untermenzing Park Cemetery was laid out on the opposite bank of the Würm in 1952. A covered wooden footbridge connects the two areas. The old section contains the building for viewings and funeral services; for burials in the park cemetery, the funeral party crosses the bridge from there.
