Address and entrances
The plan marks two entrances from Winthirstraße and another via the footpath from Aldringerstraße. Sections 1–9 extend from Winthir Church through the narrow grounds.
Getting here by public transport
U-Bahn U1/U7 to Rotkreuzplatz; Tram 12 to Neuhausen.
Parking at the cemetery
Street parking is available on Winthirstraße north of the cemetery. Follow Winthirstraße to the entrances. Check signs for fees, parking duration and permit requirements.

Finding a grave
For help locating a deceased person, contact the central graves administration at sfm-grabsuche.gsr@muenchen.de or +49 89 2319901. Give the name and, if known, dates and cemetery. Research can take from ten minutes to four weeks.

Allocation of grave rights
For municipally administered plots: In the event of a current death and at least 30 continuous years of residence in the relevant burial district by the deceased, spouse or registered partner.
Resting period
Normally 15 years.
Costs and cemetery fees
For municipally administered plots: A 50% surcharge applies to grave-use tariffs at this cemetery. The base tariff for an earth grave from the second row is €84 per year. Fees are payable in advance for the full rest period; interment and ceremonies are charged separately.

Munich Municipal Cemeteries arrange the interment date with the commissioning party. Administration at Westfriedhof is responsible for this cemetery and can clarify where mourners should meet.
Grave care and local services
For municipally administered plots, the grave-right holder is responsible for establishing and maintaining a traditional earth or urn-earth grave and may commission a cemetery gardener.

History and distinctive features
First documented in 1315, Neuhausen Cemetery surrounds Winthir Church and is therefore also known as Winthirfriedhof. Its church and municipal sections together form Munich’s smallest cemetery by number of graves. Oskar von Miller and Sigi Sommer are among those buried amid both finely wrought and restrained monuments. The grounds are not permanently staffed and are administered from Westfriedhof.
